Branding a vibrant music showcase, bringing the colour, heat, and chart-topping afrobeats artists and songs straight from the continent.
Starting off as an in-person event in London in 2011 by renowned DJ Abrantee, industry-leading showcase Afrobeats Live took advantage of virtual events during the 2021 lockdown with an immersive virtual live streaming show, in recognition of their tenth anniversary.
Marking the return required a vibrant and colourful base to deliver the all-enveloping vibrance nature of the afrobeats genre. This featured repetitive patterns inspired by African fabrics, specular lighting effects inspired by their live shows, along with an infectious soundtrack to get the party started wherever viewers were.
A 360-solution was sought:
- trailers for online and vertical video social media use,
- looping video graphics for the live streaming set,
- a full graphics package from title sequence to lower thirds,
- and onward events trailers.
The brand's visual identity was also rolled out for Abrantee's Afrobeats Top 10 Chart, designed for vertical video digital use on Instagram and Tiktok.
